Experience Integrated Archiving with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010
Everyday a lot of business data is shared and stored in your emails. Hence, the need to safeguard and discover this information is very important. Consequently, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 integrated email archiving, retention, and discovery capabilities help you simplify this task. This feature is not available in the earlier version of Microsoft Exchange Server such as Exchange Server 2007. Exchange 2010 hosting includes retention management policies that enable you to automate the archiving and deletion of email. A Legal Hold feature maintains edit or deletion of email made by the user placed on hold. What else, a new multi-mailbox search in Hosted Exchange Server 2010 is delegated to expert users, such as a compliance officer, to ease the process of conducting e-Discovery across Exchange message types, whether in the user’s primary or archive mailbox.
With integrated archiving, the archive shows up and it looks just the same. It will appear just like any another folder in your file directory or rather it looks like a secondary Inbox. Nonetheless, the advantage is all your important data will be sitting safe on Microsoft Exchange Server without getting corrupted or lost. It’s very easy to discover and the search time comes down radically. And as a user, you get access to it through Outlook Web App, [as opposed to] on the local hard drive.
All in all, this feature of Hosted Exchange 2010 erases the hurdle of both the end user experience as the IT pro cost and also from the management perspective!

Creating a Xeriscape – The Advantages of Xeriscaping Go Beyond Saving Water
If you live in a hot and dry climate, it is time to trade in your plush, green lawn for something even greener: a xeriscape.
What is a xeriscape? Think of the plants that are indigenous to the area you live in. They are the components of a xeriscape. Creating a xeriscape is cultivating the naturally occurring flowers, shrubs, trees, and grasses in your yard or garden. Xeriscaping is especially important in hot, arid climates.
Why? Because the naturally-occurring plants have already adapted to the local climate, and they will require much less water and fertilizer to stay alive than non-indigenous plants and grasses. You may like the look of Bermuda grass, but keeping it green and healthy in Las Vegas, Nevada or Phoenix, Arizona in the summer requires an enormous amount of water. Trying to grow a lawn in a desert climate that exists in the Western United States is, quite simply, an uphill battle against Mother Nature. By creating your lawn and garden using those grasses and plants that normally grow in your region of the world, you reduce the water requirements and make maintaining a yard or garden much easier.
Here are five main benefits of xeriscaping, and they extend beyond just saving water.
1) Water conservation. Saving water is, of course, the primary purpose and benefit of xeriscaping. Because the plants used are adapted to the environment and are drought-resistant, the requirement for watering your yard and garden can be reduced significantly. Up to 80% less water may be used.
2) Reduced maintenance. Less watering and less weeding are the happy results of a xeriscape. Your back will thank you. You also get back some time that you can use for other more productive activities, or you can just relax knowing your garden is doing just fine without your constant intervention.
3) Little or no fertilizer required. Using native plants means you can essentially eliminate fertilizers and soil enhancements. You can add organic mulch to help retain moisture, and that mulch will gradually become incorporated into the soil. But you stay all organic; you won’t need any chemicals.
4) Encourage natural wildlife. A xeriscape provides the native plants (shrubs, trees, grasses) that will offer the best habitat for indigenous animals.
5) Save money. No extensive watering, no need for fertilizers, no buying soil enhancements all mean saving money.
To get started, visit your local nursery to get information on the proper plants for your area. The internet is also an useful resource for information on selecting the right kinds of shrubs, flowers, and grasses. Your city or town may have ordinances on landscaping, so be sure to check before you begin planting.
